Mambot in Module doesn't work?

Hi all,

I'm developing a mambot to present Weblinks in various styles. What i would like is to use the mambot in a newly created module (using 'New' in the Module Manager).

But it seems that mambots are not processed in these modules.

Is this a local problem on my site or is it by design? In my opinion this should work because it is a 'normal' text area.

Please respond if you know anything about this, or may be you know of a way to make this work.

hi, i have a similar problem; i want to use a mambot for playing music but when i create a new module it can't understand the bot tag, ie: {play}.....{/play}.
If u discover a way to get work the stuff, could u tell me? thnx

The short answer is that mambots only work in content. This is not entirely true, but it probably explains the problem you are having.

To work, mambots have to be processed. Mambots come in groups and most are either in group editors or group content. In practical terms, what this means is that when the content component is called, it processes all the content mambots.

Modules use a totally separate system so they don't get the content mambots.

However, though I have never tried it, I know that moslate has some way of processing a moslate inside of a module. Maybe that would help.
