zoom Gallery - error msg

Hi there,

I'm trying to get Zoom Gallery up and running - and I'm failing miserably :-(
I install it, then you just see one entry in the component menu, and you can't do a single thing. I then followed the instructions in another thread: create amenu item for the gallery, login into front end, then access the gallery. Nice, but for me, it doesn't work: What I get is the follwing error msg:

Warning: main() [function.main]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(../classes/zoom.class.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/www/htdocs/uklemm/) in /www/htdocs/uklemm/components/com_zoom/zoom.php on line 25

Warning: main(classes/zoom.class.php) [function.main]: failed to create stream: Operation not permitted in /www/htdocs/uklemm/components/com_zoom/zoom.php on line 25

Fatal error: main() [function.main]: Failed opening required 'classes/zoom.class.php' (include_path='.:..') in /www/htdocs/uklemm/components/com_zoom/zoom.php on line 25

Even if I move zoom.class.php into the root directory (a procedure that helped me with the same problem in the shout it! component) nothing changes. I checked chmod, everything is 777.

Please, please - somebody help me

Hi uk63,

A solution might be to upgrade to zOOm Image Gallery v2.1...available at www.ummagumma.nl/mikedeboer
If you install it (after de-installing the old version of zOOm!), a new menu-component is created at the zOOm backend --> which means that you don't have to go through the hassle of making a main menu entry blablablaandsoforth

This might solve your problems IF you don't run your server in safe-mode...
