Next "bug team" bug release appro. date?

Hi, if the following has been answered, simply give me a link so I can read up.

Recently Mambo had two core devs leave. I realize that there are still people actively in the core team, and "steering the ship." (As well as joining each month) What I am curious about is the progress of the new "bug fix team?" I seem to recall they were formed a couple of months ago. So what is their progress? I thought that perhaps we would see Mambo bug releases perhaps every other month, but so far, nothing. Or am I mising the "picture" and need to work off of the CVS version or something?

Truthly, in my daily work, I don't notice any glarring bugs, so perhaps that is a good sign, and the "bug fix" team isn't that busy.

(Or are they just playing Halo 2?

Anyways, I'd just like to hear some comments on whether Mambo CMS is still going forward, whether recent departures is setting schedules back, ideas on bug fixes, etc...

Why ask so many questions when I've been using Mambo for so long? The main reason is that I am currently toying around with the idea of evaluating other CMSs to run my site. To me, the most important consideration is the "core devs" on any CMS project. Knowing what they are all about, their motivation, skill level, professionalism, gives good insight into whether a CMS will progress or get "stuck." Outside of Mambo, I haven't found many CMS with the equivalent talent for project management except for perhaps Xaraya, and Zope and a very few others.

4.5.2 still on track for a late January / Early February release as we detailed in the News Release about the Maintenance Team adn the 4.5.x series.

Those keep tracking of the CVS will have seen the progress firsthand in regard to this.

Although the loss of two important Development Team members has been a sad time, its natural part of any working partnership.
The 3 new Maintenance Team members have fitted nicely into their new roles and their efforts will be seen in the 4.5.2 release.

Just because we might not be so visible on the forums does not mean we arent reading posts. However it is very hard for us to track the discussions on both mambo forums and I was only directed to this post by a colleague. Most of us have a hard enough time of keeping up with posts on the official forums and more time reading/answering posts, means less time coding, so a balance must be reached.

So for the record the 'Mambo Team' is doing what it does best [doing the mambo] and is still on schedule.

I agree that having two large forums can be a good thing and bad thing. Mayhap it would be better if the forums somewhat focused on different aspects of Mambo living.
