Template -> different Header Image on specific pages

Hi,

I would like to use a different header image for different parts of my site, is there an easy way to do this? I have done a search, but all the answers seem to be based round changing the whole template or a random image.

It's a trick very easy tp apply but, unfortunately, every change to some content (and hence to Itemid) implies a new modification of the code embedded in the template.

It should be interesting to apply this method for creating a component which allow to upload and assign images to every section, category and content and a simple module for showing the associated image.

I have been developing static and dynamic websites for several years now and only recently came across Mambo. Nevertheless an excellent CMS I was shocked not to find an add on to allow full image customisation with the admin section page by page. As a designer you don’t want all the pages to look exactly the same for each website - the header image is very important. At least this add on by Thomas is heading the right direction.

So if there are any developers out there - I think you could safely charge around $10/20 for a decent template changer - as in per page per graphic - maybe several graphics or SWF files. I would personally like to see placeholders one defines in the admin that way you would name the images and hook them up with each placeholder name. Any takers?
