Insert image error

I have suddenly started to get an error when trying to insert an image the popup window loads up and then i get this message

An error has occured in this dialog
Error:81
"selection" is null or not an object

I press the ok button the window shuts down but i can;t insert my images then.

Does any know what this is caused by or know a fix for this
