Exclamation Joombers.com General Rules & Etiquette

We practice the following etiquette to help you and others make the most of our forums:

1.0 Posting Rules
1.1 The language of this forum community is 'english'. An exception are the international forum, which are using the corresponding language.
1.2 Before posting your question, search the forums. Your question or comment may have already been discussed, answered or resolved.
1.3 Postings must be on topic of the thread/forum you are posting to. The moderators will move them to the appropriate forum-area if needed or are entitled to remove them.
1.4 Create a concise subject that adequately summarizes your topic. For example: 'Ideas on customizing the discussion template?'
1.5 Do not use words such as 'Urgent' or 'Important' in your subject line. Every post here is considered important.
1.6 Do not use all capital letters, excessive question marks (?) or exclamation points (!) in your subject or content.
1.7 Personal opinions are to be kept personal. Any such postings will be removed without notice
1.8 If you have made an error in your posting, feel free to use the 'Edit' function. Adding a reply to your own message is unwanted.
1.9 If you are unsure of your post, feel free to ask one of the moderators before posting.

2.0 Community Rules
2.1 Help others. The forum is a community, and works best when people share information.
2.2 Be patient. All the participants of this forum, are using the forum and participating in discussions on their own time.
2.3 Give feedback. If someone helps you by answering your question, try to add a follow-up response letting them know if it worked or not.
2.4 Welcome newcomers. Do not chastise them for not reading the forum etiquette. Make them feel welcome in the community and do not make them feel dumb or silly. Remember your own first steps with Mambo?
2.5 Make it clear to the supporters on your topic if a problem is solved and show your gratitude by thanking them for the help!
2.6 The Community Arena is not meant for flaming or insulting. If you need a place to rant, vent or spew, it's ok in this forum but watch your language. Abusive or insulting language will not be tolerated.

3.0 Strictly Forbidden
3.1 No Spamming - do not post any advertisements in the forums unless you place your ad in the commercial announcement forum.
3.2 No Flaming - do not post defamatory, abusive, vulgar, hateful, racist, sexual, harassing or obscene messages in the forums.
3.3 No Crossposting - your posting topic should always fit into one (1) forum. So there is no need to post the same posting into several forums.
3.4 No Illegal's - Don't post copyrighted material or links to websites containing illegal software.
3.5 Doing one of the above will definitely lead to the removal of your message and the banning of your account and IP-address from this community indefinitely.
