Default an easier way to install apache, mysql and php from scratch for mambo

hi all,

i have only just found mambo last week and had SO much trouble setting up apache/IIS5 and IIS6/ mysql/php/pear the list goes on, if it wasnt one problem it was another, im not asking for help just giving my own personal view on an wasier way to install mambo.

i had so much trouble installing mysql with php and iis so i switched to apache, which in my honest opinion was just as bad, then i came across WAMP5 (free open source kind of like XAMPP) it had everything preconfigured apache, mysql, php, pear (part of php) phpmyadmin, SQLlitemanager, setup is in one executable all you have to do is copy the relevant directoried that you want to use from the install directory to the document root (mine is C:\www) open the directory c:\wamp5\php\ and run go_pear.bat answer yes to everything and there you go, just download and extract mambo to the document root and open localhost/mambo by default the root password is blank but if you are installing mysql you should know how to chage that, follow the mambo installation which is prety self explanatory, and you will have it working in no time,

like i said this is just what i have found by my own personal experience, if this post doesnt belong please let me know, if you would like more info on my setup, please dont hesitate to contact me, bob_man_uk@walla.com or add bob_man_uk@yahoo.co.uk to msn messenger,
