Default CSS problem....

Well, I have problem viewing site in IE 6.0.. I made my template using tables in DreamweaverMX. I put border style on main table in css, it looks like this:

body {
..
..
border: 1px solid #999999
}

In Firefox I can see the border,but in IE there's nothing.I don't know where is the problem..Am I missing something or?Any tips or hints are wellcome

Try this:

body {
..
..
border: 1px solid #999999;
}

(added ";" after color setting.)

Well, the ";" is necessary, so if you added it, keep it in there. Can you post the entirety of your css. Also, do you have anything in your <table> tag that contradicts the css. Could be that your table says no border and your css say border.

Cheers,

David

I solved the problem. Still don't know why IE don't see that border in CSS. But I did a different thing.I've put a new table all around, put bgcolor="#999999", cellspacing=0..(I had one table at start below this one with bgcolor = "#ffffff"),removed solid border from #body in CSS..Now works fine in IE and firefox.

Are you sure you didn't set the cellspacing to 1?

Well,I'm pretty sure . I have set padding to 1, I forget to wrote it up there(it was 3 o'clock in the morning ). I could set padding to 0 and spacing to 1, and I get same thing in this case.
